SKATING PARTY:

enjoy skating and Christian music at Skateland on Sunday, April 8th

EASTER EGG HUNT:
The annual Easter Egg party and hunt will be held on Saturday, April 7 from 9:30 to 11:30 am., here at the Church.
MOUTH-WATERING TREATS
& GOODIES:
There
will be a bake sale on Sunday, April 22. The proceeds will go to help
send campers to Clearwater Forest. Please help by donating baked goods or
bringing an empty stomach to church.
FOOD DRIVE:
The
church will collect non-perishable food items from April 22nd to
April 29th. The food will be delivered to the Salvation Army.
MAUNDY
THURSDAY FELLOWSHIP MEAL:
Gather
at the church on Thursday, April 12th at 6:30 p.m. for a new edition
of our Maundy Thursday Fellowship Meal. We will be treated to a meal of Chicken
Cordon Bleu and something that Jim Bjorklund calls Baked Badadas.
The meal is free though donations to cover the cost will be gratefully
received. The fellowship meal will be followed by a simple celebration of the
Lord’s Supper. This is the second
year for this new format. We hope you enjoy it very much. There is a sign up sheet in
the Narthex for the Maundy Thursday meal.
Presbyterian
Women’s Afternoon Circle meets on the second Tuesday of each month from
September through May at 1:00 pm at Jiggs Restaurant. This is the only circle
that is currently meeting and all PW members are cordially invited to attend.
Every woman member of Community Presbyterian Church is also a member of
Presbyterian Women.
On
Saturday, April 28th the PW will hold a Welcome to Spring Brunch at
10:00 am in the Fellowship Hall. At this time we will be honoring Donna Gertz
for her ministry of flowers for Sunday worship services.
A
program is planned to include musical selections and David DeCock, Cass County
Extension Service will also be with us to talk about flowers.
YOUTH
NEWS:
On
April 8th, youth group will meet for only one hour (7-8 p.m.) because
I’m sure everyone will be tired from an afternoon of roller-skating.
On
April 22nd, youth group will meet from 7-9 p.m. to work on (and
hopefully finish) our quilt.
On
Easter Sunday, there will be a brunch after the service provided by the youth
group. There is no cost, but we
will have baskets on tables for donations to cover food expenses.

The
last night of youth group for this year will be April 29th.
Come celebrate the completion of one full year of youth group with
us. Everyone
in the congregation is invited to attend.
We will be showing Veggie Tale movies, including the new movie
entitled Lyle the Kindly Viking. Bring
your favorite pillow and a snack! We
will begin showing movies at 7 p.m. |

KINDERGARTEN
ROUND-UP:
The
West Fargo Kindergarten Round-Up is scheduled for April 8th and April
22nd at the Early Childhood Center, 330 3rd Ave. E., West
Fargo (phone 356-2020). This is an informational meeting for Parents-Guardians
of children 5 years of age before August 31, 2001 and wish to attend
Kindergarten in the fall of 2001. Please bring a copy of your child’s complete
immunization record and birth certificate. Children need not attend.

ALZHEIMER’S
DISEASE & DEMENTIA PRESENTATION:
There
will be a free educational presentation for families dealing with Alzheimer’s
Disease & Dementia on Thursday, April 19th from 6:30-8:00 pm at
the Pioneer House Assisted Living, 3540 University Dr., Fargo. For more

Business/Facilities Manager. This is a full-time position, to provide and
coordinate administrative services for the church and to manage the church’s
